Sherman Museum Host Lunch with Santa

MUSEUM TO HOST LUNCH WITH SANTA
(SHERMAN, Texas) November 19, 2012 — The Sherman Museum announced today that it will
host a lunch with Santa Claus on December 1, 2012 at noon. The visit by Santa coincides with a special holiday exhibit, “TOYLAND,” running from
November 27, 2012 until January 5, 2013.

“We are honored to have Santa in our museum and very grateful that he took time out of his busy schedule to visit us,” noted The Sherman Museum Director, Dan Steelman. Santa will arrive at noon and will be available for photographs with all children attending the luncheon. After lunch, the youngsters will have a fun period of holiday crafts and an opportunity to watch their favorite holiday shows on the big-screen television in the community room.

Cost for the event is $8 per child and $5 per adult. This admission rate includes lunch, a photo with Santa, craft materials and take-home prizes. Parents who choose not to eat lunch may attend for free. The public is invited to bring canned food items to the event. The food items will benefit Grand Central Station, a Sherman food kitchen for the poor. “Times are still tough for a lot of people. At this time of year, it is especially appropriate to consider how blessed we are and to seek ways to
help others in need. Grand Central Station is an outstanding program, providing nourishing meals and hope to folks in desperate need of both,” said Steelman. The Sherman Museum is located at 301 South Walnut in Sherman, Texas.
