company, announced that its BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center will make its first visit to Belk stores in Texas beginning in April. The 39-foot state-of-the-art screening center offers mammograms to women over 40 in communities throughout Belk’s corporate footprint. The Center is a result of the retailer’s commitment to make breast cancer screening and awareness more available in local communities.

The BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center will make stops in the following Belk Texas locations:

The BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center offers free, convenient mammogram screenings for women age 40 and over with no breast concerns and who have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months. Participants must register in advance and can make appointments by calling 855-655-BMMC.

All screening exams are performed by Charlotte Radiology's licensed, female mammography-certified technologists.  A board-certified radiologist, specialized in breast imaging will interpret the mammogram. Participating patients and their primary care physicians will receive confidential results.
The Belk Mobile Mammography Center has screened more than 7,400 since the program launched in 2013. The Center has detected 36 cases of cancer over the two years of the program. To view a video about the first year of this program, click here.
