Sherman Celebrates Independence Day!

The 5th Annual "Lights on the Lake" celebration presented by Landmark Bank,  in conjunction with the City of Sherman will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Pecan Grove Park West.  A family-friendly event with free live music featuring "Texas Gypsies" beginning at 7:45 pm and a huge fireworks show at 9:30 pm.!

The Texas Gypsies are an award winning band, known for their unique take on Classic Jazz and Swing, Gypsy Jazz (Django), Western Swing (Bob Wills), New Orleans, Classic Rock, Pop and the band performs many of their own original songs too!  They are a collection of well seasoned players comprised of Grammy winners and musicians who have backed many of today's top performers which include: The Jacksons, Paul McCartney, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Texas Playboys, Wynton Marsalis, Tony Bennett, Barbara Mandrell, Blues Brothers and many more!!

Wrist bands are available for $5 each allowing access to kids' activities such as bounce houses, waterslides and more!  Food will be available for purchase from a variety of vendors.

Parking is limited, so TAPS buses will provide free park-and-ride services to-and-from satellite parking areas at Sherman Bible Church and Faith Church. Expect a moderate walk through the park to get to the amphitheater and activities.

Park gates open at 6:00 pm.  Pecan Grove Park West is located at 3200 Canyon Creek, Sherman, TX.
