Take to the Skies Airfest

The Take to the Skies AirFest is coming to Durant Regional Airport-Eaker Field April 27, 2013!

This festival of aviation features an exciting aerobatic Air Show, a Hot Air Balloon Glow and

fun family festival. Join us for the first Air Show of the season featuring an array of aerobatic flying feats and competition, warbirds in close formation aerobatics, high flying action and performers bringing Edge of your seat excitement for the whole family! We are proud to honor our military throughout this event.

Truly a sight to behold, the Lite the Nite balloon glow at sunset on Saturday evening showcases balloons on static display to light the sky with a spectacular glow of color





. All day enjoy a variety of airplanes, helicopters, military aircraft, skydivers, powered parachutes, hang gliders, RC aircraft and more in flight and display. Some flights available to public! You can fly in a variety of aircraft throughout the AirFest from an open cockpit Stearman, T-6, P-51 Mustang!, Helicopters, Airplanes...to a tethered ride in a Hot Air Balloon! (Balloon rides are weather permitting) Or jump out of an airplane and take a tandem Skydive jump!


Take to the Skies and experience FLIGHT!Choctaw Nation Cultural Activities.  Veterans Airlift Command - Learn more about this volunteer organization of pilots providing for our wounded warriors. The Choctaw Nation is one of the strongest long term supporters of Veterans Airlift Command and has flown over 40 missions! VAC is proud to name them one of their most significant supporters.

VAC provides free air transportation to post 9/11 combat wounded and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of over 2000 volunteer aircraft owners and pilots. VAC and their volunteers have transported over 6500 combat wounded and families over 4 million miles since their first mission in 2006. 1800 were in 2012.
