Excel is Microsoft's powerful spreadsheet software. Learn what spreadsheets and workbooks are, how to enter data, the use of basic formulas for making calculations, formatting and printing your output, and much more. Sponsored by the Pottsboro Area Public Library, this seminar will be held at the Library at 104 N. Throughout the year the Pottsboro Library offers various educational opportunitites such as Children's programs, Meet the Author and Book Reviews. The Senior Center is located in the Pottsboro Area Library and is open from 10 am to 1 pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays serving lunch to anyone 60 years of older at no cost. Reservations are required by 9:30 am and can be made by calling 903-463-1711.
In addition to meeting new friends and sharing a little laughter together, the Seniors have field trips to places like the Harbor Wildlife Museum and Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge. Sponsored by the Lake Texoma Rotary, City of Pottsboro, Meals on Wheels of Texoma, Pottsboro Area Library and TCOG's Area Agency on Aging, enrichment classes are held quarterly like the one last month on How to use your smart phone!
Ann Murry, a volunteer who has contributed so much to making this program successfull was recognized for her dedication by the Pottsboro Chamber of Commerce in February when they recognized her with the "Citizen of the Year" award. Very much deserved and Ann, thank you so much for all that you do!
