The Austin College women’s basketball program will host its fourth annual Free Basketball Clinic benefiting for boys and girls, grades 3 through 8, on Sunday December 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the College’s Robert Mason Complex. The event benefits Toys for Tots, and clinic participants are encouraged to bring a small, unwrapped holiday toy to donate.

The boys and girls, led by the women’s basketball players and Coach Michelle Filander and staff, will be taught the fundamentals of basketball, including dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and teamwork.

To register, email the basketball office at eriley10@austincollege.edu. Pre-registration is not required, but will help with planning. Parents may register their children the day of the event and are invited to observe the clinic.

Participants should wear comfortable clothes and gym shoes. Water fountains are available but children are welcome to bring water bottles. Names should be put on basketballs or any other items participants do not want to lose.
